Race
The car stalled on the way to the assembly area and wouldn't
re-start. I finally started the race after 1 lap was completed from the pit lane behind Mark Harrison. The
replacement tyre from the earlier puncture seemed to be made from wood, as it
had absolutely no grip at all. I caught and passed a few Mono 1800 cars, but
when the intermittent misfire returned, I lost the places again. Finally had another
puncture on the last lap going very hard into Copse; the front end of the
car ran wide, but I managed to catch it and limp back to the pits on 3 wheels.
Luckily I recorded a finish, albeit in the pit lane. Unbelievably,
I was 18th from 21 finishers, but 8 seconds off the pace! Race won by Jonathon
